Mobile Ordering System

#UI/UX  # Figma

This project focuses on the Chinese local tea brand "Ama Handmade", develop a comprehensive UI/UX system including an ordering application, preparing for potential international expansion.

Primary challenges involve mastering the design tool Figma and achieving balance between aesthetic appeal and functional practicality in interfaces. The project is expected to enhance proficiency in Figma software and deepen understanding of UI/UX design, with these skill developments proving valuable for future branding design

Deformation

#Ceramic  # Anxiety

In East Asian countries, body image anxiety has becomea psychological concern for an increasing number of contemporary individuals. When people see idealized body shapes and appearances presented through carefully edited and filtered photos on social media, they naturall compare themselves, leading to negative emotions. Some even go to the extent of harming their bodies in pursuit of the distorted aesthetic promoted by societal standards.

In this project, I simulate the shape of belly fat by distorting a cylinder formed through wheel-throwing. I use red lines to represent the misguided body image imposed on individuals, criticizing the unnecessary body image anxiety perpetuated on social media. In reality, the perception of one's own "fat illusion" by most healthy individuals is often an externally imposed notion. Discovering a body shape that suits oneself is the key to true health.

For the purpose of simulating fat and indentations as realistically as possible, I used 3kg of clay to sculpt my cylinder. I employed two self-mixed glazes (red and white) to depict indentations. The red lines were created using two materials, Korean silk rope and cotton cord.

The Sound of emotions

#Silversmithing  # Metal

Sounds of Emotion is a wind chime-inspired metalwork piece that explores the poetic resonance of human connection. Drawing from the traditional Japanese furin (風鈴), this piece reinterprets its form using rope, copper, nickel silver, and sterling silver.

Unlike conventional wind chimes that often use paper tails, this design features two silver-toned copper plates at the base, each adorned with a heart-shaped copper piece. When the wind passes through, the plates gently collide, while the internal clapper strikes the body of the bell—creating delicate, melodic sounds. The physical interaction between the two heart-shaped forms symbolizes emotional exchange, where sound becomes a metaphor for feeling.

The piece integrates a range of metalworking techniques including doming, raising, and soldering, demonstrating both technical precision and conceptual sensitivity.
